Back in 2017, Dimes NYC founder Sabrina de Sousa started making and selling peppermills. She had a vast personal collection, and her designs were inspired by the multicoloured sticks by Polish artist André Cadere. After a hiatus, the peppermills are back under the name Semi-D, which is an abbreviation of the architetural term "semi-detached", as well as Dimes backwards.
